Achieva Credit Union of Pinellas County: Fee What Fee?

I have flipped around to a few banks in my short financial history and Bank of America was a bad experience, Suntrust wasn't much better, so then my husband and I decided to go to Achieva Credit Union which was great in the beginning, we had no trouble other than the normal things that happen with any bank when you overdraft due to financial trouble you can't avoid. However, they recently changed their fee schedule to include a $0.25 cent Debit Card PIN fee.
That's right, every time you you use your debit card you are charged 25 cents! In just 4 days we have lost 2 dollars to those fees. They say to just use the credit option when making a purchase but last night in Wal-Mart we were not given the choice for credit. This is a big problem for people like me. At the moment our financial situation is not a great one, we are slowly getting out of debt and because of that we are very low on money every month so to lose 2 dollars that could be used on baby food for my 7 month old daughter, it is a huge thing.

Because of this we have decided to definitely switch banks, not only do they not have branches in the Orange County area which we just moved to, but this new fee has ensured that we will not find a way to keep using this Credit Union.
So long Achieva Credit Union, it was fun while it lasted.
I hope other people can have a good experience like we did up until these new fees took effect.

Just a little fact from Florida. Have an amazing day!
